Seminars & Reflection Days

At the core of every person is a deep desire for authentic love and human greatness. Despite this innate desire for good, many young people make poor sexual decisions. A casual attitude towards sex increases the probability of negative outcomes, such as sexually transmitted infections, unplanned pregnancies, abortion and emotional heartache.

Real Talk presentations illuminate the idea that what we do with our body is of great significance especially when it comes to sexual intimacy. We encourage young people to be critical consumers of media messages and to respect the dignity and value of every individual. Fundamental to every session is the notion that it is only in truly valuing yourself that you can experience happiness. We help students to realise that in living out biblical principles in relation to love, sex and marriage a person can live the kind of life God intended for them, a life to the full. (cf: Jn 10:10)

Does your school need sexuality education resources?

Real Talk is excited to announce our latest latest relationship and sexuality education resource, Equipped.

Equipped is a four lesson, video-led series for senior students (Years 10-12), that will equip your senior students for relationships road ahead.

Equipped is specifically designed for Christian school students aged 15+. (For Catholic schools, please see Prosper).

The 4 topics covered are:

  • Love, Sex and Marriage

  • Relationships and Dating

  • Digital Relationships

  • Pornography

Each topic can be used in isolation or as part of a complementary 4-part series. This is a fantastic opportunity to ensure your students get the sexuality formation they need at this challenging time.

Each topic includes 40-60 mins of video content, as well as discussions and activities. Each topic has the flexibility to run for lessons that go for 50mins through to 120mins.

Students will be asked to investigate and demonstrate the relationship between sexuality , sex and the capacity to live an ethical, hope-filled and life. They will be equipped with the tools to manage and express emotions responsibly and compassionately for the good of self and others. They will be empowered to incorporate Christian moral teaching into their decision making process.

The series will help students with future choices made as individuals but also help contextualise real world topics as issues to wrestle with for the good of the whole wider human family. The series will lead students to an increased capacity for compassion, forgiveness, and love.

Stronger

The idea of what it means to be a real man is much maligned in today’s world. We encourage and challenge students to develop their character by making good, and at times hard, decisions. Stronger illuminates the idea that men are defined by the choices they make.

Tackling the big issues like pornography, relationships and bullying, the presentations encourage the participants to be men of character whilst affirming the dignity of women. Like muscles that give physical strength, character and success are propagated through good training and hard work.

Stronger calls forth a higher standard for the men of tomorrow.

Brave & Beautiful

Brave & Beautiful highlights the innate value and beauty that every woman possesses. This session works to expose the false portrayal of beauty in today’s world while encouraging strength and resilience in women.

Addressing issues such as self-image, the beauty industry, eating disorders and how to recognise true beauty, this session encourages and empowers girls to see the truth of who they are and how God created them to be. It draws forth confidence, maturity and a desire for healthy relationships.
